SEATTLE -- Kelsey Jenkins, Megan Lindsay and Taylor Sawyer from Seattle Pacific received first-team accolades on the Daktronics All-West Region women's soccer team that was released Wednesday.

That talented trio helped the Falcons (17-3) win their third consecutive Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship and qualify for the NCAA Division II Tournament for the ninth straight season. SPU posted a 4-0 opening-round victory over Grand Canyon before losing 2-1 to Cal State L.A. in the West Region semifinal.

All three honored Falcons were first-team All-GNAC selections who hail from high schools in the state of Washington.

Jenkins is a senior midfielder who last week was named the GNAC Player of the Year. A product of Kentwood High School, she was the league leader with 11 assists.  Three of her four goals were game-winners.

Jenkins completed her collegiate career with 17 goals and 23 assists. She is the daughter of former Seattle Sounder (1976-70) Tommy Jenkins, who played with several English clubs between 1966-75, including first division Southampton.

Lindsay is a graduate of Spokane's Gonzaga Prep High School. The junior forward topped the GNAC with 12 goals, three of them coming during the two playoff games. Lindsay led the conference with 32 points, a figure that includes eight assists.

Sawyer, who prepped at North Mason High School in Bremerton, received the 2011 GNAC Defender of the Year award. She anchored the SPU defense that shutout 11 opponents and surrendered just 13 goals, an average of 0.65 per game.

A junior, Sawyer garnered All-America acclaim in each of her first two SPU seasons. She is now in the running for a third All-America certificate.

These three SPU standouts, along with the region's other first-team honorees, will be included on the Daktronics national ballot for the All-America team that will be released on Nov. 30.
