Steve Steele, who coached for 12 seasons at national high school girls basketball power Brea Olinda in California, and served as an assistant the past two years at Concordia University-Irvine, is starting his third season as the lead assistant coach for the Falcons.

While at Brea Olinda, where he served as associate head coach, the Ladycats won numerous championships: 11 league, six sectional, four state, and one national. They also put together a national-record winning streak for league games by winning 183 straight in the Century League from 1987 to 2006. Brea Olinda was 327-60 during his dozen years there.

Steele is a graduate of Concordia Irvine, earning his degree in religion in 1999. He was a varsity soccer player for the Eagles after playing that sport, along with basketball, baseball, and water polo in high school.

He and wife Gwin have been married for 14 years. They have two children: 12-year-old son Jacob, and 9-year-old daughter Evan.
