Falcons Fall At Seattle 2-1

SEATTLE (Oct. 13) - Jason Cascio scored twice as Seattle University beat Seattle Pacific 2-1 Saturday afternoon in Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer action at Championship Field. 

 

Colin Kosco scored the lone goal for SPU, bringing the Falcons level in the 53rd minute off an assist from James Coggan.  With the loss the Falcons are now 6-3-5 overall, 1-1-1 in the GNAC.

 

Cascio put the Redhawks (12-2-0, 4-1-0) on the board early, slotting home a feed from Dustin Allberry just five minutes into the match.

 

He tallied his second goal with just nine minutes remaining, knocking in a rebound off a save by SPU keeper Kellen Rosten.

 

Seattle out shot SPU 16-9 but it was the Falcons with the edge in shots on goal 6-3.

 

Redhawk goalie Emerson DeOliveira totaled four saves while Rosten finished with one.

 

SPU is back in action Tuesday when Saint Martin's visits Interbay stadium.  Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00.
