SEATTLE (Nov. 3) – Despite playing for 50 minutes with only 10 players, Seattle Pacific University earned a 1-1 draw versus cross-town rival and nationally ranked No. 5 Seattle University in Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer action Saturday night at Interbay Stadium.

Corey Sinser was given a red card in the 60th minute forcing the Falcons to play a man down.

The Redhawks were able to capitalize on the man advantage just two minutes later and break the scoreless deadlock as Jason Cascio turned a SPU defender and fired a shot past keeper Kellen Rosten.

The resilient Falcons, who were emotionally charged up due to senior night, refused to go away.

Jeff Hallenbeck's corner kick knocked around a scrum of players before James Coggan poked it over the goal line in the 85th minute.

Just two minutes later the Redhawks seemed destined for a victory when Cascio was taken down inside the SPU box resulting in a penalty-kick.  However Rosten was able to save the day, diving to his left to swat away Cascio's shot.

Both teams had chances to seal the victory in the two overtimes.  Rosten made a point blank reflex save to thwart Cascio again in the 104th minute.  SU goalie Emerson DeOliveira stopped Coggan on a breakaway with just over 4 minutes remaining.

Both goalies were busy as the Redhawks fired 22 shots on goal to the Falcons 12.  Rosten totaled 11 saves in his final game as a Falcon.  DeOliveira finished with 3.

The match marked the final contest for Rosten, Hallenbeck, Coggan, Matt Kemper, Drew Macha, Nathan Elmenhurst, and Justin Abel who are all seniors.
