SEATTLE, WA –(JAN 26) Shooting a perfect 3-3 from behind the arc and recording 12 of her 14 points in the second half, Jackie Hollands propelled the No. 3 Seattle Pacific University women's basketball team to victory over visiting Seattle University in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game Saturday at Brougham Pavilion, 63-47.

The Falcons (8-0 GNAC, 17-0 overall) out rebounded, out blocked, and out assisted the Redhawks (3-4 GNAC, 12-4 overall) en route to another gritty win, this time in front of a Homecoming crowd of 543.

Broadcasted over CSTV's website, the Falcons put on a show for the whole nation to see, leading by as many as 16, overcoming a scare by Seattle which cut their lead to as little as five in the second half.

With SPU having made only one bucket over the previous 6:37, Jessie Christensen drilled a jumper with 6:46 remaining in the second half to push Falcons' lead to seven.

Hollands finished with 14 points overall, adding four assists as well. Kelsey Hill led all players with 16 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. Megan Hoisington rounded out the double-digit Falcons, recording 10 points for the night.

Beth Christensen, sister of Jessie, had four points and seven assists in the game, while Daesha Henderson came off the bench for six points.

Alysse Carlson led the Redhawks with 11 points, with Jackie Thomas hot on her heels at 10. Thomas led SU with six steals and three assists.

A hard fought battle, SPU and SU were nearly identical in points-in-the-paint (28-26), points-off-turnovers (14-13), second chance points (9-10), and fast break points (9-8). SPU's renown bench came up flat against SU's, being out-gunned 16-29 in points.

The Falcons held the Redhawks to less than 36 percent from the field (20-56), while going 21-49 for a 42.9 percentage themselves.

SPU will travel east this week to visit GNAC competitor Northwest Nazarene University at 6 p.m. The Falcons are one of less than a handful of the nation's remaining undefeated teams.
