SEATTLE (Mar. 1) - Jackie Hollands made her first 12 points off of three point shots en route to a game high 17 as the No.2 Seattle Pacific University women's basketball team defeated Northwest Nazarene University 75-58 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference basketball game Saturday night at Brougham Pavilion.

With two regular season games left, the Falcons (25-0 overall, 16-0 GNAC) claim either a share of or the outright GNAC title this evening, depending upon the outcome of No.9 University of Alaska Anchorage's game against Western Washington University, starting later this evening.

Hollands had nine of her 17 points in the first half, helping drive SPU to a 38-26 halftime advantage. The Falcons then used a 12-2 second-chance point advantage after halftime to put the game away, and rack up their 21st straight home victory, dating back to last season.

Joining Hollands with double-digit scoring for the game were Megan Hoisington (12 pts, 3 boards), Beth Christensen (10 pts, six assists), and Jessie Christensen (10 pts, 11 boards). Beth Christensen's six assists were a game high, while her sister Jessie's 11 boards were also a game high.

Daesha Henderson and Kelsey Hill had nine points each, while five Falcons had two steals apiece.

For NNU, who struggled from behind the arc (2-12), Kristin Hein scored 13 points and grabbed nine boards; both were team bests. The Crusaders had five more turnovers than SPU, and were out rebounded by eight (34-42).

The Falcons won the battle of offensive boards, finishing with a 17-6 advantage. SPU also hit six of 19 three-point attempts, and finished with a 42.4 field goal percentage.

Two games now stand between SPU and an undefeated regular season. The Falcons must face Western Oregon and Saint Martin's on Thursday and Saturday of next week at 7 p.m. each night. Should UAA lose their contest tonight versus the Vikings, SPU will be the outright GNAC champions and receive the NCAA DII Automatic Bid to the West Regional tournament in two weeks.
