BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Claire Morgan converted a point-blank shot in the 16th minute Saturday, lifting 22nd-ranked Western Washington to a 1-0 victory over No. 4 Seattle Pacific in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's soccer game at Orca Field.
The Falcons lost for the first time this season, dropping to 6-1-1 while having their six-game winning streak stopped. The goal was the first in five games allowed by SPU, which extended its scoreless streak to 411 minutes before the Vikings found the net.

Western goalkeeper Kylie Broadbent preserved the victory with 10 saves, five of them in each half. She registered her fourth shutout of the season.
