Falcons Forum, Fall Edition, Volume 1 (Oct. 7)
Throughout the school year, the Seattle Pacific sports information team occasionally will pose questions to various Falcon athletes.
What class are you most looking forward to this fall – even if you know it's going to be a tough one? And why are you looking forward to that class?

I'm looking forward to Lifespan Developmental Psychology. I took AP psychology in high school, and I absolutely loved it. It was so fascinating to be able to observe concepts and phenomena that we were learning in class, in the people around me, and in myself. This class is a requirement for a nursing major, but I probably would have chosen to take it even if I didn't have to.

I'm looking forward to all of the classes I'm taking this fall. But one of them that excites me the most is my UCOR 300 class (Belief, Morality, and the Modern Mind). It address all of those really “hard” questions that everyone eventually has to face up to, such as the existence or non-existence of God, Christian inclusivism/exclusivism, the problem of evil, etc. It sounds a little crazy, but I love having my assumptions about how I think “the way things are” shaken down and beaten up, because I then can emerge with more genuine beliefs and convictions.

The class I'm looking forward to is statistics, because I'm finally going to learn something else besides just calculus.
Jesslyn Kellerman Rahm

The class I'm most looking forward to is public speaking. I have always been comfortable speaking in front of people, but haven't taken a class on public speaking before.
Hannah Masson

I'm excited for my USEM class about Japanese pop culture, because I love learning about different cultures, and Japan seems like a mysterious and interesting place to me.

The class I'm most looking forward to is Alternative Energies with Dr. Lindberg. I'm in it with a lot of engineering friends, and I think it's going to be a really hands-on, project-based class. I'm excited to learn more about solar power, hydro power and sustainable technologies.
Shelby Swanson

I'm really looking forward to taking chemistry because I'm excited to see if I can excel in a harder course. I'm going into pre-med, and I'm anxious to see if I really enjoy the sciences as much as I expect to.

I'm most looking forward to my History of Baseball class. I love sports, and I'm so lucky to get into the class. I'm so excited to learn about America's pastime.
