SEATTLE -- Whether it was passing the ball or taking care of it, the Seattle Pacific Falcons got it done together.

Daesha Henderson scored 20 points and came up with five of Seattle Pacific's 22 steals, leading the 19th-ranked Falcon women to a 92-48 romp past Concordia of Portland in a nonconference game at Brougham Pavilion.

The Falcons (5-1) earned assists on 29 of their 35 baskets, and had a season-low 14 turnovers. The 92 points was a season high, eclipsing SPU's output in a 90-53 victory against Colorado Christian on Nov. 20 in the Sodexo TIp-Off Classic in Brougham.

“This was a great team win,” coach Julie van Beek said. “We had a big difference in turnovers, and that was huge. And our passing and decision-making was a lot better. We played as a team.”

Senior guard Henderson (Snohomish, Wash./Snohomish HS) hit 8 of 13 from the floor, including 3 of 5 from behind the 3-point arc. Senior forward Megan Hoistington (Bremerton, Wash./Central Kitsap HS) added 11 points for Seattle Pacific and pulled down seven rebounds.

Senior forward Sydney Benson (Snohomish, Wash./Snohomish HS) added 10 points and seven rebounds, and junior forward Caitlyn Rohrbach (Edmonds, Wash./Meadowdale HS) also collected seven boards. Freshman guard Rachel Murray (Eglington, New South Wales, Australia) handed out a career-high seven assists.

“Daesha is Daesha, and Megan has been super-consistent,” van Beek said. “But it was awesome to see Sydney and Nyesha Sims (seven points, two assists, three steals, no turnovers) and Rachel Murray (five points, four rebounds, two steals and no turnovers, along with her seven assists) do a great job coming off the bench.”

SPU used a pair of first-half scoring surges to put Concordia (6-4) into a permanent double-digit deficit.

Up by just four at 16-12. SPU ran off 11 straight points, Maddie Maloney capping it on a three-point play to make it 27-12 with 8:29 remaining in the half.

The Falcons pushed the lead to 20 points at 38-18 with a string of nine straight points at the 3:08 mark of the half. Concordia never got the margin below 18 points after that, as Seattle Pacific took a 47-22 lead into halftime.

Concordia, ranked No. 22 nationally in the NAIA Division II poll, never led and was tied just once at 2-2.

The Cavaliers were led by the nine points of Rachel Bristow.

The Falcons shot 43.8 percent for the game (35 of 80), and limited Concordia to just 29.8 percent (17 of 57).

Seattle Pacific will be off until taking on Sonoma State in the GNAC-CCAA Challenge on Dec. 20 at Western Washington University in Bellingham. It will be a rare Sunday game for the Falcons, tipping off at 1 p.m. SPU won't play at Brougham again until Thursday, Jan. 14, in the conference home opener against Saint Martin's at 7 p.m.
