Throughout the summer, the Seattle Pacific sports information team will post a question to various Falcon athletes.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, what's the one thing you're most excited about – and why are you most excited about that?

Jocelyn Charette
Women's soccer
One thing I'm excited about is Aug. 13. That's because I will finally be done with all of my fitness tests!

Justin Felt
Men's track and field
I'm excited to go for a new PR and possibly break 24 feet – that would be awesome. I did much better this last season than I have in the past, and I think I have more potential to jump even farther. I'm most excited about this because I'm a fierce competitor, and I love to PR and do well. I was very happy to have a better season last spring, and I look forward to another great season for what most likely will be the final track season of my life.

Daesha Henderson
Women's basketball

I'm most excited to be a senior and win a region championship because I know we can.

Jane Larson
Women's cross country/track
I'm so excited for our team to come together after a summer of training and do big things this season. We have our sights set high, and I really believe we an achieve a national championship this year if we all put in the work and stay healthy and focused. I'm very excited to see what God will do through us.

Chad Meis
Men's cross country/track

I'm most excited about having one last shot at nationals. After missing cross country nationals by three spots last year and then missing track nationals by two seconds, I'm really hungry to make it to an NCAA championship meet before I graduate. I'm also very excited about the camaraderie of our men's team. Some of my best friends are on the team now, and we have a good incoming freshman class, so I'm hoping this team will be the best we've had in my four years, both on and off the trails.

Joelle Perez
Volleyball

I'm really looking forward to the season and everything it will bring. We still have a young team and we saw many improvements last year, and we are continuing to grow. We have some pretty talented freshmen coming in, and it will be neat to see how they fit into the team.

Laura Willis
Gymnastics
I'm excited to see the result of all the hard work we have been putting in. All the girls are pumped for the upcoming season, and the goal of making it to nationals is at the forefront of our minds. We are a close team, and this bond definitely will aid us during the season.

Andy Wolverton
Men's soccer

I'm excited about the potential we have for the coming year. We will be very young again, but also quite talented. We have the opportunity to something very special – assuming we never lose our focus.
