SEATTLE -- The entire five-game spring schedule for the Seattle Pacific men's soccer team will be played at home in
Interbay Stadium, beginning Saturday against Trinity Western University.
The Falcons host TWU, a Canadian college from Langley, B.C., on April 10 at 11:30 a.m. That is the first of three consecutive Saturday games for the SPU men.
On April 17, Concordia University from Portland, Ore., invades Interbay for a noon game. Then on April 24, the Falcons entertain the Tacoma Tide of the United Soccer Leagues' Premier Development League (PDL), the third USL tier. That game kicks off at 1 p.m.
Two days later SPU plays another PDL competitor with a rematch against the Kitsap Pumas, a team they played last spring in Port Orchard, Wash. The game is set for Monday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m.
The Falcons conclude spring play on Friday, May 7 when they take on the SPU Alumni at 7:30 p.m.
The Seattle Pacific men are using the spring session to tune up for the 2010 NCAA Division II campaign that begins at home on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. against Humboldt State.
The Falcons did not receive an invitation to the 2009 NCAA Tournament despite an 11-5-3 mark that was a five-win improvement from the previous season's record (6-10-3). They posted a 4-3-1 mark to place third in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference standings last fall.
