SEATTLE – Senior Kelsey Jenkins opened the scoring four minutes into the game Saturday to start 21st-ranked Seattle Pacific on its way to a sixth straight women's soccer win, a 3-0 Great Northwest Athletic Conference decision over Western Oregon before a crowd of 814 at Interbay Stadium.

The first-place Falcons (7-1-0) moved to 4-0 in conference contests with their fifth consecutive shutout. WOU (2-4-2) fell to 1-2-1 in GNAC play.

Jenkins (Kent, Wash./Kentwood HS) received a pass from Megan Lindsay, dribbled into the box and lined a 15-yard shot into the right side at 4:06 for her second goal of the year.

"An early goal is great, it settles us down a little bit and puts the other team on their heels," SPU coach Chuck Sekyra said, praising Jenkins for her early play.

"KJ came out tonight and kind of set a tone for us. She was the key to us getting a great start tonight. I love how active she was."

Sophomore Kellie Zakrezwski (Cheney, Wash./Cheney HS) gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead they carried into halftime. She created enough space at the left side of the box to fire a 12-yard shot into the goal at 33:21.

Freshman Ali Martin (Beaverton, Ore.) capped the scoring at 83:54, netting her team-leading fourth goal on a 7-yard header over the goalkeeper.

Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Harold (Vancouver, Wash./Heritage HS) was not required to make a save en route to her third shutout. The Falcons have not surrendered a goal in their last 475 minutes.

"One of the better games we've played all year. We were very complete in our effort and level of play from the first minute until the last," Sekyra described. "We got better and better as the game went on. We only scored one goal in the second half, but we created a lot more chances and could have scored four or five."

Brittney Rigtrup made two saves for the Wolves, who were outshot 19-6.

WOU's best opportunities came during the second half. In the 48th minute, Lindsay Bauman hit a shot from the left side that carried just wide of the upper right corner of the SPU goal. With 26 seconds left to play, Taylor Thompson's shot from the goalmouth went wide to the left.

The SPU women stay at home next week, hosting Montana State Billings on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Northwest Nazarene on Saturday at 1 p.m.

"The GNAC is won on the road, but you have to take care of business at home," Sekyra said. "We need to have even a better game on Thursday and just keep getting better. I think we're going in a great direction."
