SEATTLE – Coaches constantly seek consistency from their players. You can't get any more consistent than Laura Moore and Alexa Diaz have been this season for the Seattle Pacific women's soccer team.

Moore extended her scoring streak to four consecutive games with a 44th-minute goal Saturday that helped SPU to a 2-0 win over Notre Dame de Namur in the final non-conference women's soccer game at Interbay Stadium.

The Falcons posted their third straight victory to finish with a 3-1 record outside of league play. NDNU dropped to 2-3.

A sophomore, Moore (Kent, Wash./Kentwood HS) has scored in every game. She netted her team-leading fourth goal of the season with 1:42 remaining in the first half. Demi Waitley fed a pass to Ali Martin who took a dribble before sending a through ball into the box. That pass put Moore one-on-one with the goalkeeper and she slipped a low, 10-yard shot inside the left post.

"She's put herself in good spots to finish and she's making great decisions," SPU coach Chuck Sekyra said of Moore, who has already doubled the two-goal total she compiled as a freshman in 2012.

"She's a smart player. She knows when to pass and knows when to finish. She's making great decisions and then she's productive and scoring at a high rate."

Prior to the opening goal, each team had a dangerous scoring opportunity. The Argonauts nearly struck first in the 13th minute, but Massiel Castellanos' hard shot caromed off the crossbar.

SPU had a pair of breakaways, by Heather Young in the 17th minute and Martin in the 41st. Goalkeeper Kelsee Berryman denied both attempts, two of her five first-half saves.

SPU sophomore Emma Holm, who registered her first collegiate goal in Thursday's 3-0 home win over Dixie State, doubled Saturday's lead with far-post header from a corner kick. Diaz served the corner from the left side and Holm directed it into the goal from five yards out at 87:49.

Diaz (Burien, Wash./Kennedy HS) has distributed an assist in all four Falcons games, easily leading the team in that category. The junior has matched the total of assists posted during her first two seasons combined.

"Alexa has done a great job of putting herself on the ball a ton, just really finding the ball a lot," Sekyra said. "And she's making a lot come out of that when she has the ball."

Berryman was credited with seven saves for NDNU, which was outshot 17-6.

SPU senior goalkeeper Natalie Harold (Vancouver, Wash./Heritage HS) stopped three shots en route to her third straight shutout. She has not allowed a goal in the last 280 minutes.

"Nice to get three shutouts in a row and finish out our non-conference that way," said Sekyra. "We're excited to start conference play Thursday night at home."

The Falcons remain home to begin Great Northwest Athletic Conference play on Thursday against Western Oregon. Kick-off is 7 p.m. at Interbay Stadium.
