Box Score | Final StatsBILLINGS, Mont. – Amanda Perri scored with just over three minutes left to play Saturday, giving Montana State Billings a 2-1 women's soccer win over Seattle Pacific in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest at Yellowjacket Field.
The Falcons (4-2-1) suffered their first league setback, moving to 2-1-1. They lost in three of the last four visits to Billings, the lone win a 3-0 decision in 2013.
The Yellowjackets (4-1-1) rallied from a goal down with two second-half tallies to improve their conference record to 2-1-1.
SPU's
Hannah Huesers opened the scoring 6:30 into the contest. The sophomore forward stole the ball from a Yellowjacket defender at the top of the box. Her shot from the right side deflected off a defender's back before going into the left side of the goal.
Huesers (Lake Stevens, Wash./Lake Stevens HS) is tied for the team scoring lead with five goals.
"It was nice to come out and get a 1-0 lead on the road," said SPU coach
Chuck Sekyra. "But in the second half we kind of got away from how we play. We weren't able to bring things back in.
"We just have to stick to who we are, stay together and keep tugging away at what we do best. There's no reason to deviate from that."
Billings drew even at 66:28 when Katlyn Lokay scored after beating two defenders off the dribble.
The game-winning goal came at 86:52 off a high through pass from Dana Lubieniecki. Perri raced to reach the ball before looping it over SPU goalkeeper
Alexa Hughes.
The Yellowjackets were outshot 11-6, but had only a 5-4 deficit in attempts directly on goal.

Isabel Farrell's (Redmond, Wash./Interlake HS) shots were on target, but they were saved and her four-game scoring streak was stopped.
Hughes (Everett, Wash./Archbishop Murphy HS) was credited with two saves. Her MSUB counterpart, Krystal Daniels, stopped four shots.
The Falcons return home for a four-game homestand, beginning on Thursday against Central Washington. Kick-off is 7 p.m. at Interbay Stadium.
"Being at home for the next four games is a good chance to get us going in a great direction that hopefully we never look back from."
