WALNUT, Calif. – Anna Patti beat her personal-best time by nearly a full minute and raced onto the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying list in the 10,000 meters on Thursday night at the Mt. SAC Relays.

The Seattle Pacific junior completed 25 laps around Hilmer Lodge Stadium oval in 35 minutes, 46.51 seconds. Her previous PR was 36:44.51 at last year's Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships in Monmouth, Ore.

Patti (Renton, Wash. / Lindbergh HS) now has two national provisional qualifying times this season. On April 3 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, she finished 5,000 meters in 16:41.56, a time that still ranks No. 4 in the country.

Patti, whose time on Thursday was the 11th-fastest in GNAC history, likely will get an opportunity to race both distances at the conference meet on May 8 and 9 in Monmouth. The 10K will be the final event on the evening of the 8th, and the 5K will be run on the afternoon of the 9th.

This was Patti's only race of the weekend. Another group of Falcons will be in action on Friday at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, and on Saturday at the Beach Invitational in Norwalk.
