SEATTLE – This was a taking-care-of-business kind of night for the Seattle Pacific women's basketball team.

And for the fifth straight time to start the season, the Falcons took care of it.

Courtney Hollander poured in 17 points, and the senior-freshman combo of Brianne Lasconia and Madi Hingston added 12 apiece off the bench on Tuesday as SPU rolled to an 88-47 non-conference victory against Evergreen State in Brougham Pavilion.

Coming off last week's noteworthy sweep of 17th-ranked UC San Diego and Pacific West Conference contender Azusa Pacific at the West Region Crossover Classic in Bellingham, SPU is now 5-0 to start the season – and has kept all five opponents below the 50-point mark.

All 12 Falcons who suited up got in for double-digit minutes, all of them scored, 11 of them grabbed at least one rebound, and six of them shot 50 percent or better from the floor.

The first five of first five of Hollander, Jordan McPhee, Erica Pagano, Stacey Lukasiewicz, and Rachel Shim logged 46 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists.

"I thought they started the game well, and then they came out in the third quarter and did it again," Seattle Pacific coach Julie Heisey said. "In fact, I thought we were better in the third than we were in the first, and we held them to just five points in the third."

SPU will take some time off for Thanksgiving, then prepare for next week's start of Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The Falcons open that portion of the schedule on the road at Western Oregon on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7:00 p.m., followed by a trip to Concordia on Saturday the 3rd at 2:00 p.m.

Junior forward Hollander (Lynden, Wash. / Lynden Christian HS) got her 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting, and collected six rebounds. Junior guard McPhee (Normandy Park, Wash. / Mount Rainier HS) added 10 points on 4 of 7 from the floor. Junior forward Pagano (Happy Valley, Ore.) was 4 of 7 on the way to eight points and had a team-high seven rebounds.

Rachel Shim
Senior guard Lukasiewicz got her six points on 3-of-6 accuracy and collected six boards. Senior guard Shim (Sammamish, Wash. / Skyline HS) had five points and a career-high five steals. She also tied her career high with four assists.

The Falcons scored the first four points of the game, never trailed, and were never tied against the Olympia-based Geoducks from the NAIA Cascade Collegiate Conference. SPU had a 26-9 lead by the end of the first quarter, and were up 50-25 at halftime.

"It was a great opportunity," Heisey said. "Madi Hingston and Madison Wright got to play more minutes at the point guard position, and we were just giving a lot of different combinations on the floor some minutes. We challenged each other on the offensive rebounds not to give up too many of those, and I was happy in the second half that we got control of the boards." (SPU finished the game with a 42-39 edge.)
