A hectic four-games-in-10-days schedule awaits Seattle Pacific to close out the 2018 regular-season women's soccer slate. The Falcons (9-4-1, 5-3-0 GNAC) visit Burnaby, B.C. for an Oct. 18 clash at 5 p.m. with Simon Fraser. The Clan (8-3-1, 6-1-1) are unbeaten in the last six outings with five wins and a tie. That streak started with a 2-1 overtime victory at SPU on Sept. 27. The Falcons celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 20 with a 3 p.m. contest against Montana State Billings at Interbay Stadium. The Yellowjackets (4-8-1, 1-7-0) are winless in their last seven meetings with SPU. The Falcons final home game is Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. against Central Washington. The Wildcats (2-7-4, 2-4-2) were on the losing end of a 2-0 score versus SPU on Sept. 22 in Ellensburg. The schedule wraps up on the road with a visit to Portland. The Falcons meet No. 6 and league-leader Concordia (10-0-2, 7-0-1) on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. The Cavaliers escaped Seattle with a 1-0 win on Oct. 11, their second straight win over SPU after getting no results in the first four matchups.

Julia DeVere, Brooke Lancaster, Mickayla Mury, Kasey Reeve, Abby Smith, Sydnee Smith, Makayla Sonstelie, Kaytlin Willis and Emma Young will play their final two Interbay Stadium games. Super Sophmore
SPU sophomore Sophia Chilczuk tops the conference with four game-winning goals, a figure that ranks 16th nationally. She is listed second among GNAC players in both goals (7) and total points (16). The 2017 GNAC freshman of the Year, Chilczuk has played a role in five of SPU's nine game-winning goals, including one assist. She picked up at least one point in half (7) of the Falcons 14 games this season. Chilczuk has two multi-goal games this year, scoring twice against both San Francisco State (Sept. 8) and Saint Martin's (Sept. 20). Six of her 11 career scores were game-winning strikes.

Throw-Ins
Eleven of the 22 players that saw action in Saturday's 6-1 win over Western Oregon picked up a point. Three players had a goal and assist (Mickayla Mury, Sydnee Smith, Emma Young) ... It has been feast or famine for the Falcons, who netted at least two goals in the nine wins, but were shut out in four outings and held to one goal in the other ... Megan Moore tops SPU with six assists, the highest total by a Falcon since Isabel Farrell and Laura Moore each had seven in 2014 ... Six Falcons have started all 14 games (Asia Cayetano, Julia DeVere, Moore, Megan Nielsen, Makayla Sonstelie, Smith).

Playoff Pursuit
Seattle Pacific seeks to ignite a new NCAA Division II Tournament streak after having its national-leading 14-year run halted in 2017. SPU qualified for the playoffs every season from 2003-16. The Falcons won the 2008 national championship and advanced to the Final Four on three occasions (2005, 2007, 2008).

Simon Fraser (8-3-1, 6-1-1 GNAC) -- The second-place Clan are undefeated in their last six games with five wins and a draw. That streak started with a 2-1 overtime decision in Seattle on Sept. 27, their first ever win over SPU. Emma Pringle leads Simon Fraser with eight goals while Jenna-lee Baxter chips in seven goals and a team-leading eight assists. Goalkeeper Nicole Anderson has three clean sheets and a 0.67 goals against average. The Falcons own a 12-1-2 advantage in the all-time series.

Montana State Billings (4-8-1, 1-7-0 GNAC) -- The Yellowjackets lost their last four games, including a 2-1 home setback versus SPU on Oct. 6. Julia Keller tops MSUB with three goals. The goalkeeping tandem of Erinn Harder and Lili Delgadillo combined for two shutouts and a 1.89 goals against average. The Falcons, own a 20-4-2 series lead, outscoring Billings 54-15 all-time. SPU posted a 5-0-2 record in meetings since the Yellowjackets last win in 2014.

Central Washington (2-7-4, 2-4-2 GNAC) -- The Wildcats won just once in their last seven outings. Madison Bradley and Makinzie Packwood each have four goals to account for two-thirds CWU's 12 total tallies. The goalkeeping duo of Emily Thomson and Kelsey Bechtholdt teamed up for a 1.48 goals against average. The Falcons lead the all-time series 25-7-4, including a 2-0 win on Sept. 22 in Ellensburg behind goals from Makayla Sonstelie and Kasey Reeve.

Concordia (10-0-2, 7-0-1 GNAC) -- The sixth-ranked Cavaliers lead the league and are undefeated in 25 consecutive regular-season games, last losing on Sept. 8, 2017. They are out-scoring opponents 24-5 led by the five goals of Sydney VanSteenberge. Goalkeeping tandem Hailey Asato and Rose Hauser compiled eight shutouts and a 0.40 goals against average. SPU owns a 3-2-1 edge in the all-time series, but lost the last two meetings. The Falcons were blanked 1-0 by Hauser on Oct. 11 in Seattle and Gabrielle Ewing got the CU game-winner in the 62nd minute. Concordia was a 2-1 victor on Sept. 28, 2017 in Portland.

Coach Busey
Arby Busey is in his 13th year on the Seattle Pacific staff and his fourth as head coach. In 2017, he directed the Falcons to a 10-7-0 record and third-place GNAC finish (8-4-0). He has a 34-21-7 record at SPU, a ledger that doesn't include 10 wins from 2015 that were vacated. SPU participated in the NCAA Tournament in Busey's first two seasons at the helm.
