One home game on Saturday followed by two road tilts next week close out the 2019 Seattle Pacific men's soccer season. The Falcons (4-9-1, 3-6-0 GNAC) host Saint Martin's on Nov. 9 for a 7 p.m. clash at Interbay Stadium. The Saints (8-6-2, 3-5-1) lost 3-1 to SPU on Oct. 24 in Lacey, yielding two goals and an assist to Titus Grant. The Falcons visit second-place Montana State Billings next Thursday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. Pacific Time (2 p.m. MST). The Yellowjackets departed Seattle on Oct. 12 with a 1-0 win behind a 79th-minute penalty kick by Shantik Bedrosian. On Saturday, Nov. 16 SPU concludes the campaign in Nampa, Idaho at 3 p.m. PST (4 p.m. MST) versus Northwest Nazarene. The Nighthawks (6-8-0, 2-6-0) also conceded two goals and an assist to Grant in a 5-2 defeat on Oct. 10 in Seattle.

Senior Salute
Before the Nov. 9 game with Saint Martin's, a ceremony will be conducted to honor SPU's lone senior, Trevor Lee. The midfielder from Puyallup (Wash.) High School makes his final home appearance at Interbay Stadium. Lee compiled two career goals and five assists and both scores came versus Northwest Nazarene. He netted a golden goal in the 107th minute of the Falcons' 1-0 win versus NNU on Oct. 19, 2017 in Seattle.

TREVOR LEE INTERVIEW

Falcons Fast Fact
SPU scored the game's first goal just three times in 14 outings this year and has s 2-0-1 record in those. An opening tally led to a draw with Sonoma State (Sept. 5) and wins over Northwest Nazarene (Oct. 10) and Saint Martin's (Oct. 24). The Falcons twice led at halftime, winning both, trailed seven times and were tied on five occasions.

Terrific Titus
Junior forward Titus Grant played a part in two-thirds of SPU's 21 goals, topping the team with 22 points on eight goals and six assists. He has double the goals of any other Falcon (Mario Vukic has 4). Grant netted the game-winner in three of the team's four victories. He picked up a point in half (7 of 14) of the games and compiled three goals and four assists in the last four outings. Grant is the only Falcon with a multi-goal game this year and did it twice, on Oct. 10 vs. Northwest Nazarene and Oct. 24 at Saint Martin's. He was a first-team All-GNAC honoree in 2018 and third-team All-West Region pick.

Shuffling Lineup
The Falcons implemented 13 unique lineups in 14 games, starting the same group in consecutive outings just once, in the opening games on Sept. 5 and 7. Only three players started every game, defenders Nik Reierson, Travis Swallow and Ed Weise.

Sam Malloch
LAST WEEK
SPU gained a split of a two-game road trip with a 2-1 triumph at Simon Fraser (Nov. 2). After conceding a third-minute goal, Sam Malloch leveled the score in the 33rd minute before Titus Grant won it with a penalty kick after he was fouled in the 76th minute. The Falcons were shut out, 4-0, at 23rd-ranked Western Washington (Oct. 31).

Throw-Ins
Four SPU losses were dealt by teams currently listed in the Top-25 poll and two others came versus opponents ranked at the time ... Twenty different Falcons drew at least one start this season with six of them making collegiate starting debuts ... The SPU defense limited five opponents to a single goal, but has not registered a shutout. Only once in the 52-year history of the program has a Falcons team failed to post a shutout (1970).

Upcoming Opponents
Saint Martin's (8-6-2, 3-5-1 GNAC) -- The Saints upset second-place Montana State Billings 2-1 on the road in the last outing. SMU is outscoring opponents by a 35-30 margin paced by the GNAC-leading 15 goals of Brandon Madsen. Oscar Aguilar chipped in five goals and four assists. Goalkeeper Dylan Shaw has a 1.85 goals against average. SPU lost just once in the last 18 encounters with the Saints, who were 2-1 victors on Nov. 1, 2018. The Falcons lead the all-time series 20-4-1 and won this season's first meeting 3-1 on Oct. 24 in Lacey, Wash. behind two goals and an assist from Titus Grant.

Montana State Billings (8-6-2, 5-3-1 GNAC) -- The second-place Yellowjackets had a two-game winning streak halted by a 2-1 overtime loss to Saint Martin's. Prior to that Billings had lost just once in its previous six games. Andres Perez leads the MSUB attack with six goals and five assists. Four other players have three tallies apiece. Goalkeeper Jessy Martin has played every minute in goal compiling six clean sheets and a 1.09 goals against average. SPU leads the all-time series 18-7-5 despite losing the previous meeting 1-0 on Oct. 12 in Seattle. Shantik Bedrosian got the game-winner for the Yellowjackets on a 79th-minute penalty kick.

Northwest Nazarene (6-8-0, 2-6-0 GNAC) -- Adam Pearce is in his first season as head coach of the Nighthawks. After losing its first six conference contests, NNU won back-to-back GNAC games, over Saint Martin's and Concordia-Portland. Jake Levine's team-leading eight goals account for over one-third of the team's 22 total goals. Goalkeeper Alex Nadermann played the majority of minutes between the posts and boasts three shutouts and a 1.58 goals against average. The Falcons lead the series 18-3-6, including a 5-2 triumph over NNU on Oct. 10 in Seattle. SPU's Titus Grant scored twice and distributed an assist in that matchup.

Shot Stoppers
SPU has two different goalkeepers with a double-digit save game during the same season for the first time since 1972 when Rex Yoder (14) and Dave Landry (12) accomplished the feat. Lars Helleren stopped 10 Sonoma State shots on Sept. 5 and Jordan Marwood compiled 12 saves at West Texas A&M on Sept. 16. The SPU school record of 14 saves was established by Yoder, who did it twice in 1972.

Chico Cancelled
SPU's Sept. 7 home game versus Chico State was stopped in the 35th minute and eventually cancelled due to persistent lightning. All stats were voided, including an eighth-minute header by defender Ed Weise that gave SPU a 1-0 lead.

Coach Mark  Collings
Mark Collings is in his 12th season as head coach at his alma mater. He has directed Seattle Pacific to a 123-66-31 record, two GNAC championships and a stretch of five consecutive NCAA Division II Tournament berths from 2011-15. His coaching highlights include school-record streaks of 13 consecutive victories and 15 games unbeaten established in 2014 along with absorbing the fewest losses in a campaign with just one in 2015 (14-1-4). Collings registered his 100th coaching victory with the Falcons on Oct. 28, 2016. He is the third head coach in the 51-year history of SPU men's soccer.
