SEATTLE – Throughout the summer, the Seattle Pacific sports information team will pose a series of questions to various Falcon athletes. We will feature one athlete each Wednesday. This week, men's basketball player
Filip Fullerton has the mic:
Now that things are seemingly headed back to some sense of normal, what is one thing you're really looking forward to?
"I look forward to getting back into the social aspects of life. Whether that be in the classroom or on the basketball court, I think a lot more can be learned and a lot more can be achieved through social settings."

With everything being as unusual as it was this past year, what was the most memorable part about the season for you?
"Just how close the team got over this year. We were pretty much in a little bubble as a team and that led to us spending a lot of time with each other outside of practice. I have never felt this close with a group of guys before."
Looking ahead to next season, what are you most excited about?
"I'm most excited about picking up where we left off and personally, where I left off in the 2019-20 season. I was injured this year and didn't get to play, and my team wasn't able to make it to the postseason because of covid and the amount of games we played. So I'm excited to get a real year to compete so we can truly see how far this amazing team can go."
What are you planning to do this summer – Work? Vacation? Hang out with family? All of the above?
"All of the above! I have an internship at Bayview Retirement Community, I have many trips planned, and I plan on bettering myself as an athlete."
What is your favorite summertime way to stay in shape and prepare for next season?
"Trail running / hiking, and biking in beautiful places."
Most athletes went to a summer sports camp of some kind when they were younger. Did you – and if so, what is your favorite memory from a summer sports camp?
"My favorite memory from my summer basketball camp was always competing in skills games for prizes, like candy or Gatorade."
Growing up, what was your favorite thing to do or your favorite place to go during the summer – and why was that your favorite?
"My favorite place to go was Sweden and Denmark because it's where my family is from and it's where my older sister and brother grew up. All of my extended family is there, so it's really nice to go."
Someday – maybe sooner, maybe later – what is one place you'd really like to visit, and why that particular place?
"Italy. I went once when I was 9, and it was the best time ever. I really want to experience it again."
