PORTLAND, Ore. – The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference women's soccer teams on Tuesday afternoon, featuring seven Falcons from the Seattle Pacific.
The GNAC All-Conference teams are voted on by the coaches of the conference. The top 22 players are named to the all-conference team, with the top 11 earning first-team honors and the next 11 earning second-team honors. The remaining nominees receiving votes earn honorable mentions.
Chloe Gellhause and
Marissa Bankey represent the Falcons on the GNAC All-Conference First Team. Gellhaus improved on her Second Team selection from a season ago. She made 14 starts for the Falcons, netting three goals while dishing out three assists. Bankey put together a strong season for SPU. She scored four goals and had two assists for 10 points.
Sophie Beadle,
Lauren Forster, and
Lauren Snedeker made All-GNAC Second Team. Beadle earned Honorable Mention a season ago. She showed out for the Falcons in 2022 with three goals, five assists, and 11 total points.
Forster repeated her Second Team performance from last year. In 2022, Forster scored four goals and had an assist. Snedeker has been key for the Falcons all season. She's scored twice and has four points to her name.
Mercedes Cullen and
Kathryn Nyone earned Honorable Mention. Cullen made an impact in her first season as a Falcon. She played 1,044 minutes in goal over 12 matches. She faced 131 shots, made 48 saves, and had two shutouts.
Nyone is a defensive mainstay for SPU. She's contributed offensively, assisting on three goals over the season.
The Falcons open up postseason play this weekend at the GNAC Tournament in Nampa, Idaho. They'll play host Northwest Nazarene in the semifinals on Thursday at 6 p.m. PST.
