PORTLAND, Ore. – The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced its men's soccer All-Academic Team on Wednesday afternoon, featuring nine Seattle Pacific men's soccer student-athletes led by
Tyler Speer's 4.0 and fourth selection to the team.
To make the GNAC All-Academic team, nominees must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale (based on GPA at the current institution). Nominees must be in their second season competing at the nominating institution. First-years, redshirt freshman, and transfers in their first year competing at your institution are not eligible. For graduate students, the undergraduate GPA must also meet the 3.2 minimum. Nominees must be on the roster for the complete season.
"These are the type of awards that we as a staff get excited about because it is what being a student-athlete is all about," head coach
Kevin Sakuda said. "Balancing school and athletics is difficult. Our guys can balance those demands well. We're tremendously proud of their commitment to perform at a high level in the classroom. It is great to have them recognized for this honor."
