Ewing Represents Falcons at NCAA Nationals

KENOSHA, Wisc. – Maya Ewing represented the Seattle Pacific University women's cross country team at the NCAA National Championships on Saturday morning, racing to a 127th-place finish on the Wayne E Danehl National Cross Country Course.

Ewing was in the mix to open Saturday's championship race. At the first split, Ewing was in 60th place, less than five seconds from the race leader. She stayed consistent through the 2k mark, dropping four spots with a time of 7:05.5.

The middle parts of the race were challenging for Ewing. At the final split before the finish, Ewing was in 102nd place. She'd go on to finish the race in 22:05.2, good enough for a 127th-place finish.

The winning time was posted by Adams State's Tristian Spence, who clocked a 20:11.0. The 2025 team title went to Grand Valley State. The Lakers collected 54 points, beating out second-place Colorado School of Mines by 48 points. Chico State's 9th-place finish was the best of any team from the West Region. Western Washington led the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with an 18th-place finish.

Ewing wraps up a successful 2025 season with one GNAC Athlete of the Week Award, her first-ever GNAC Cross Country Championship, an 8th-place finish at NCAA West Regionals, and as a GNAC All-Academic Team member.
