NAMPA, Idaho – The Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team earned a share of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship with Western Oregon by defeating Northwest Nazarene 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Kevin Sakuda said. "They continue to show up in big moments, and today was no different. Winning a share of the GNAC Regular Season title is a wonderful achievement and a great reward for all that these guys have invested this year. Winning is hard and we must enjoy these achievements, but this group is motivated to do more- And I love that about them."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- JJ Diaz gave the Falcons the lead in the 15th minute, when Isaac Ketcham set him up to score.
- The Nighthawks tied the match in the 48th minute when Daya Baraka scored off an assist from Rylan McPherson.
- Diaz gave the Falcons the lead for the second time in the match in the 51st minute.
- Lukas Shriner added to the SPU lead in the 75th minute with an unassisted goal.
- Connor Tollan put the exclamation point on the match, scoring in the 90th minute thanks to assists from Brady Fendrich and Diaz.
- The Falcons closed out the regular season with a 4-1 win over the Nighthawks.

- The Falcons had nine shots on goal over the 90-minute match, while the Nighthawks had six shots on goal.
- Diaz was sensational for the Falcons, scoring twice while adding an assist to total five points on Saturday.
- Brian Lanier played 90 minutes in goal for the Falcons, making five saves while allowing one goal to NNU.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- SPU's 11 wins in 2025 are the most since the 2021 season, when they won 12 times.
- The Falcons are GNAC Co-Champions for the first time since they won it outright in 2021.
- It's the fifth regular-season GNAC title in program history.
- Five regular-season GNAC Championships are the third-most in the conference behind Simon Fraser's eight and Seattle U's six.
- It's the second regular-season GNAC title the Falcons have won under head coach Kevin Sakuda.
- Diaz scored his third and fourth goals of the season against the Nighthawks.
- He now has eight goals, four assists, and 20 points in his career at SPU.
- Shriner scored his third goal of the season on Saturday.
- Tollan scored his third goal of the season against NNU.
- It was the 10th goal of his career at SPU.

The Falcons enter the inaugural GNAC Men's Soccer Championships as the two seed, and will play Western Washington on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 11:00 a.m. for the chance to play Western Oregon in the championship match on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11:00 a.m.
