SEATTLE - It was a battle between two nationally ranked teams on Saturday afternoon at Interbay Soccer Stadium where the 20th-ranked Seattle Pacific University needed, and scored two goals in the second half to earn a 2-2 draw against first-ranked Colorado School of Mines.
FROM THE COACH
"What an awesome display of women's collegiate soccer today," head coach
Arby Busey said. "That was so much fun. Our group felt really good today. At halftime, we were excited about how we were playing, although not overly excited about the score, but we felt we had done some great things. All credit to our women for their belief today. Our belief grew throughout the second half, and we were able to secure a tie. To be down two at the half against a team like Mines and show the mentality that we did in the second half was amazing. This group is built for big games like today's. We enjoyed each other today and look forward to attacking next week together."
