SEATTLE – The Seattle Pacific University women's basketball team couldn't keep up with a red-hot shooting performance from Saint Martin's on Saturday afternoon, as the visitors left victorious 67-47.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons trailed early when the Saints opened the game with a 12-2 run that lasted 4:49.
- SMU's Laiken Hill knocked down three 3-pointers over the final 2:20 of the first half as part of a 9-4 run for the Saints to give them a 23-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- SPU answered with a quick 8-3 run over the first 2:28 of the second quarter.
- In the final seven minutes of the first half, the Saints went 8-for-9 from the field as part of a 19-8 run that gave them a 45-24 lead at halftime.
- The Falcons outscored the Saints 23-22 in the second half of Saturday's game, but it wasn't enough to overcome the first half deficit.

- Leasure led the Falcons with 13 points while adding four rebounds, one assist, and one block to her stat line.
- Haylie-Anne Ohta scored 12 points for the Falcons against the Saints.
- Naomi Hotchkiss grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for the Falcons.
- Mertes led the team with three assists.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Ken Bone, Karin Grellson Strong, Peter Hattrup, Linnae Jarvits, Bob Murphy, Mike Olson, and Keith Phillips were honored at halftime of today's game after being inducted into the SPU Athletics Hall of Fame earlier this morning.
- Hotchkiss set a new career-high in rebounds with 10 agains the Saints.
