Venable had his best season with the Falcons, setting personal records in the 1500, 5,000 (three times) and the 10,000. During the winter season, Venable ran indoor personal bests in both the 3000 and 5,000.

Saxon had a strong performance at the GNAC Indoor Championships last February. He cleared 14-09.00 in the pole vault, earning third place in the event. The result earned Saxon GNAC All-Conference honors.
