SEATTLE – The 11th-ranked Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team completed its Texas two-step with a 3-1 victory over St. Edward's on Friday night, powered by a goal from Harper Sabari and a brace from Lucas Witthauer.

"The guys continue to show up for each other and tonight was no different," head coach Kevin Sakuda said. "Winning on the road is hard, and to do it back-to-back against two quality opponents is a testament to the work these guys continue to put in. I couldn't be happier for the team. There were some moments that we were tested tonight, and our response to take the game back was fantastic."

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sabari put the Falcons on the board in the 25^th minute of the match with a right-footed shot that snuck into the bottom right corner of the goal.
• The Hilltoppers tied the match shortly after half time, when Shunji Watanabe scored off an assist from Nemanja Pavicevic.
• The Falcons retook the lead in the 54^th minute, when Owen Swartout set up Witthauer for a goal.
• Witthauer added a second goal in the 82^nd minute, shooting one into the bottom left corner of the goal to put the Falcons up 3-1.

FROM THE BOX SCORE

• The Falcons finished the match with 20 shots, 10 of which were on goal.
• Sabari had five shots for the Falcons, with all five of them being on frame.
• Witthauer matched Sabari's five shot attempts, leading the match with two goals scored.
• JP Guzman and Swartout had three shots each for the Falcons.
• Willem Ficek played 90 minutes in goal for the Falcons, facing five shots on goal and making four saves.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Witthauer's goals were the first and second of the season.
