SPU: Two-year letterman and a returning starter at midfield. ... An All-GNAC second-team selection as a sophomore in 2007, when he also was named to the academic all-conference team.

Sophomore: Always in the thick of the action, starting all 19 games that he played. Scored three goals, including the eventual game-winners against UC Colorado Springs and against Saint Martin's. Also had three assists. His 35 shots was the third-highest total on the team.

Freshman: Started nine consecutive games in midseason, including final five of a seven-game win streak, and played in all 19 contests…First collegiate goal was first-half game-winner at Cal State Stanislaus. Added another at Western Washington a week later.

Meadowdale High School: Three-year letterman who finished with league-high 19 assists and six
goals as senior, making first team all-Wesco. As freshman forward, scored school-record 28 goals as Mavericks finished third in state 3A tournament, Meadowdale won state crown in 2004…Played eight seasons with Northwest Nationals Pharaohs, leading club assists six times and scoring three times. Pharaohs won 2005 state championship.

Personal: Alec Forest Nelson was born August 13, 1987 in Aurora, Colorado…Father played at UCLA, and two older brothers and sister also played college soccer. Uncle, Warren Hall, was member of Falcons’ first NCAA championship team and mother played on SPU club…Engineering science major.
