Sophomore (2009): OUTDOOR – Ran the 100 and 200. Posted his best 100 time of 12.19 at Pacific Lutheran Invitational, which wound up as SPU’s third-fastest time of the season. ... Got his best 200 time in his final try of the season at that event, going 24.73 at Western Washington Twilite Meet. That was the second-best time all spring for the Falcons.

Fun facts: Ran track just his junior year at Bellevue High School, advancing to state as part of the Wolverines’ 4x100 relay. Shoulder surgery during the winter of his junior year precluded him from playing soccer that spring, hence his decision to try track. … Was part of three Bellevue Class 3A state championship football teams, and also started on the soccer team as a freshman, sophomore and senior. … Favorite junk food is Sour Patch Kids. … Book he just couldn’t put down was “Twilight.” … Favorite psych-up music before a big race is R&B.
