Senior (2011): Ran in six meets. Started off by leading SPU (2nd overall) at season-opening Alaska Fairbanks Long-Course Invitational. The next day, ran No. 2 for the Falcons (3rd overall) in the short-course meet, helping Seattle Pacific complete a sweep of the team titles. ... Finished No. 2 for SPU (35th overall) at Sundodger, as the Falcons placed 5th as a team, the highest in school history. ... Finished No. 7 for SPU (53rd overall) at GNAC, but came back strong two weeks later to run No. 4 for the Falcons (61st overall) at NCAA West Regionals, factoring into a 7th-place team finish tha saw unranked SPU beat three teams ranked among the top 10.

Fun facts: Started cross country in middle school when he wanted to try a new sport, didn't like football, and his school didn't have a soccer team. Actually hadn't planned to run high school cross country. But when he didn't show up for summer practices, "they sent the biggest guy on the team (about football-player size) in his big black truck to take to practice. When he showed up on my doorstep, I was afraid that he would simply pick me up and take me to practice anyway, so I went to practice. I've loved the sport ever since." ...
