Senior (2019): INDOOR – Seeded No. 6 for the 800-meter finals at GNAC, fended off two challengers down the homestretch to take 3rd place in 1:55.90. That earned him his first All-GNAC honor. Got into the finals with a then-indoor PR of 1:55.18. ... Ran the 800-meter leg on the 4th-place 4000 distance medley relay, teaming with Colby Otero, Alec Llamas, and Elius Graff for a time of 10:23.59, the best mark for the Falcons in that event since 2007. ... Finished his career one week later with a PR of 1:55.13 in the 800 at the SPU Final Qualifier. ... Ran in four meets, all in the 800. OUTDOOR – Capped his career with a stunning victory in the 800 meters at the GNAC Championships. Phan burst into the lead at the start of the backstretch with about 300 meters to go, and stayed in front all the way to the finish line, stopping the clock in 1:53.99 for his first conference crown. In the previous day's prelims, Phan was last in his heat coming around the final turn, but moved to the outside and edged Western Washington's Kyler Sager by one-tenth of a second for an automatic spot in the finals. Then ran the second leg on the 4x400, teaming with Peyton Harris, Miles Flett, and James to place 9th in 3:28.81. ... Ran just one meet during the regular season, doing the 400 at the UW Indoor Open on Feb. 11. OUTDOOR – Placed 13th in the 800 at GNAC in 1:56.27. ... ran a season-best 1:55.05 in the 800 at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., on April 20. ... Freshman (2016): INDOOR – Did not compete.  OUTDOOR – Placed 12th in the 800 at GNAC in 1:56.31. ... Made his SPU debut with a time of 1:57.23 in the 800 at the UPS Outdoor Preview on March 5. The following week, easily eclipsed that time with a 1:54.65 at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open, a time that stood as a PR through the rest of the season. ...
