Sophomore (2009): OUTDOOR – Ran three different distances before setting focus on 1500. Opened the season with a 35:12.31 in the 10,000 at UPS Outdoor Preview, his first college race at that distance. Ran the 3000 in 9:23.08 at Club Northwest Spring Break Open, then posted a 16:28.11 in the 5000 the following week at JD Shotwell Invitational. .... Set a PR of 4:12.66 in the 1500 at Ralph Vernacchia Invitational in Bellingham on April 10. INDOOR – At UW Indoor Open, set SPU’s season-best 3000 time of 9:14.71. ... Also had the Falcons’ season-leading 5000 time, going 16:22.39 at the GNAC Championships.
Freshman (2008): OUTDOOR – Posted SPU’s second-best time of the season in the 5000, going 16:22.42 at WWU Twilite Meet. ... Went 4:26.95 in the 1500 at season-ending Ken Foreman-Ken Shannon Invitational. INDOOR – Was the second-fastest Falcons in the 3000 with a time of 9:18.02 at UW Indoor Preview. ... Also ran the 800, with a best time of 2:01.48 at SU Moonlight Qualifier.
