That earned her a place on the travel squad for the trip to the prestigious Lewis Crossover on Oct. 12 in Romeoville, Illinois, where she wsa No. 6 for the team and 210th overall. ... Piedra Vista High School: Placed 3rd at the New Mexico Class 5A (large school) state meet as a junior in 2023. … Placed 5th at state as a junior. … Just one week prior to that, won the district meet in a 5K persona-best time of 18:42.0. That was her first career victory. … Scored at the state track meet as a junior (4th in the 3200) and as a senior (3rd in the 1600 and 6th in the 3200).
