A former member of the Zimbabwe national track team, Letiwe Patton is in her second year on the SPU staff, after previously serving as an assistant at Seattle University and at the University of Idaho.
While at Idaho, Patton (then as Letiwe Marakurwa) set school records in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and in a 4-kilometer cross country race. She placed fourth in the steeple at the 2003 NCAA Championships, and was a qualifier for both NCAA track and cross country in 2004.
Patton owns the University of Idaho, Big West Conference and Zimbabwe national record for the 3,000 steeplechase.
