2011 (freshman) INDOOR – Did not compete. OUTDOOR – Ran in one meet, placing 38th in the 1,500 at the Ken Foreman-Ken Shannon Invitational on May 7.
Rockford High School: Ran at the conference and regional meet as a senior. ... Was an alternate for state as a junior and senior.

Fun facts: Got introduced to distance running when she took up cross country in high school. As Knape tells it, "My sister ran and I was a cheerleader. My sister said I was a wimp and couldn't run cross country, so I proved her wrong." ... Also enjoys skiing, sailing and surfing. ... Favorite kind of workout is long runs "where you feel like you can keep running forever." ... Woule like to try rugby. ... Favorite junk foods are Reese's and chocolate. ... If she could be any action hero, Knape would be Batgirl "because Batman is awesome, and I would love to fight with him." ... Knape is of one-quarter Syrian heritage and would like to visit that country sometime in the future.
