Biography

SPU:  One-year letterwinner. Two years with the program.

Sophomore (2025):  INDOOR – Did one meet, clearing 4-11 1/2 in the high jump at the season-opening Spokane Invitational on Dec. 14.   OUTDOOR – Did not compete.

Freshman (2024):  INDOOR – Placed 9th in the high jump at the GNAC Championships, going 4 feet, 9 ¾ inches. … Made her college debut at the season-opening Spokane Invitational on Dec. 9 with marks of 5-1 ¼ in the high jump and 15-2 ¾ in the long jump. Those stood as her personal bests for the rest of the winter.  OUTDOOR – Placed 11th in the high jump (4-11 ¾) and 13th in the long jump (15-10 ½) at GNAC. … Cleared an outdoor best 5-2 ¼ in the high jump for 3rd place at the Wildcat Invitational in Ellensburg on April 20. … Went an outdoor best 15-10 ½ in the long jump at the Linfield Open in McMinnville, Oregon on May 4. At that same meet, cleared 4-11 ¾ in the high for 2nd place, her top individual finish of the year.

Castle Rock High School: As a senior in 2023, qualified for the Class 1A (small school) Washington state meet in the long jump and triple jump, placing 14th in the former and 13th in the latter. … Won the long jump at the previous week’s district meet, leaping a personal-best 16 feet even, bettering her previous best of 15-7¼. … Also at district, went a PB 32-10½ for 2nd place in the triple jump. … Took 3rd at state in the high jump as a junior in 2022 with a clearance of 5-0. … Won the district title two weeks prior to that at 5-2. That same year, won four regular-season meets in the high. … Set a high jump PB of 5-5 as a sophomore in 2021 … Through her career, finished 1st in the high jump 14 times. ... Was the Trico 1A League Player of the Year for volleyball in 2022, when she also made the All-State first team. Was an All-League first-teamer and an All-State second teamer in 2021, and was All-League honorable mention in 2022.

Fun facts:  Has been doing track & field since 7th grade. Started doing it because it was the only sport offered by her middle school in the spring. ... Also has played volleyball and done gymnastics and aerial acrobatics. ... Favorite kinds of workouts are weightlifting, long, slow runs, and plyometrics. ... If not for track, would have continued with volleyball, saying, "I love volleyball with my whole, but I knew I wasn't tall enough to be a hitter at the collegiate level." ... Favorite sport to watch is basketball. ... Dumbest movie she has ever seen is "Forrest Gump." ..; Books she just couldn't put down were any from the "Harry Potter" or "Hunger Games" series. ... Favorite junk foods are ice cream and Conversation Hearts. ... Favorite healthy food is fruit. ... Last TV program binged was "Outer Banks." ... Favorite athlete is American high jumper Vashti Cunningham. ... Easiest subject in school is English. ... Toughest subject is history. ... If she could invite anyone to dinner, it would be American country musician Zach Bryan "because his is my favorite singer and seems like a really cool guy." She would have a meal catered "because I can't cook to save my life." ... In 10 years, plans to be a nurse somewhere and have a happy family.
