5th Year (2021): INDOOR – Season canceled.  OUTDOOR – Won her second consecutive GNAC pole vault championship, clearing 12 feet, 3 1/2 inches. ... Placed 13th in the NCAA championships at 12-5 1/2. ... Cleared her first-ever 13-foot bar at the Buc Scoring Invite in Spokane on April 30. Got over at 13-2 1/2, then moved it up to 13-3 and got over that one. Her first one broke the GNAC record of 13-1 3/4, then the second one broke it again. ... Barely missed 13 to start the season at the PLU Opener on March 6, clearing what then was a PR of 12-11 1/2. ... While focusing primarily on the pole, also placed 5th in the high jump at GNAC at 5 feet, 1 3/4 inches.

Senior (2020):  INDOOR – Participated in five meets. … Placed 2nd in the GNAC pentathlon with an NCAA provisional-qualifying total of 3,406 points. Won the shot put portion with a throw of 35 feet, 11¼ inches. … Was also entered in high jump and pole vault, but had to scratch out after re-aggravating an injury during the pentathlon. … Cleared an NCAA provisional mark of 12-5 ½ in the pole vault at the UW Invitational on Feb. 1.  OUTDOOR – Did the shot put at the season-opening Ed Boitano / Puget Sound Invitational, placing 14th with a mark of 30 feet, 4¾ inches. … Rest of the season canceled because of the coronavirus.

Junior (2019): INDOOR – Placed 17th in the pole vault at NCAA Championship, clearing 11 feet, 10 3/4 inches. ... Competed in the NCAA pentathlon, but withdrew after the 60-meter hurdles. ... Won the GNAC pentathlon for the third year in a row, racking up a personal-best 3,815 points that elevated her to No. 3 on the national list. Part of that total included personal-best marks in the high jump (5-6 1/2) and shot put (37-4 1/2), winning both of those events. ... Placed 3rd in the pole vault (11-9 1/4) and 5th in the open high jump (5-2 1/2). ... Secured a place at nationals in the pole vault with a PR of 12-8 1/4 at the SPU Final Qualifier on Feb. 23. ... After missing the first month of the season with an injury, made her 2019 debut at the Cougar Indoor on Feb. 1 in Pullman, placing 3rd in the pentathlon with 3,536 points. Sophomore (2018): INDOOR – Placed 5th in pentathlon at NCAA Championship with a PR score of 3,790 points. Best individual event finish was 4th in shot put at 35-3 1/4. That was one of her four PRs among the five events, with others coming in the 60-meter hurdles (9.10), long jump (18-4 1/2) and 800 meters (2:20.98). ... Also placed 16th in NCAA pole vault at 11-8 1/2. ... Won second straight GNAC pentathlon, this time with 3,610 points, with 547 of those from her winning shot put mark of 33-8 1/2. ... Won GNAC pole vault with a PR clearance of 12-4 3/4, and placed 2nd in the high jump at 5-5, and 15th in the long jump at 17-0. All of those events – the pentathlon, pole vault, high jump, and long jump – took place on the same day, as Cai personally accounted for 28 team points. OUTDOOR – Placed 9th in NCAA heptathlon with 4,929 points. Best individual placing was 3rd in 800 in 2:19.25. ... Freshman (2017): INDOOR – Won GNAC pentathlon with a personal-best and an NCAA provisional qualifying score of 3,499 points. That was 270 points better than the 3,229 she scored at the UW Invitational just three weeks earlier on Jan. 27 in her first-ever pentathlon. Tied with teammate Brooke Benner for second in the high jump at the GNAC pent at 5-5 1/4. ... Placed 4th in the GNAC pole vault with an NCAA provisional-qualifying clearance of 12-0 1/2; tied for seventh in open high jump at 5-3 1/4; and was 16th in the open long jump at 16-1 3/4.   OUTDOOR – Placed 2nd in GNAC heptathlon with a personal-best and NCAA provisional qualifying score of 4,894 points. That was her second provisional mark of the season, having gotten onto the list with 4,781 at the Hornet Invitational in Sacramento on March 17-18. Won the high jump portion of the GNAC hep with a PR mark of 5-6. Also set PRs in the shot put (33-4), long jump (17-1 3/4), javelin (117-0) and 800-meter run (2:19.49) portions of the event. ... In the Hornet Invite hep, won the 200 in 25.71, which stood as her PR through the end of the season. ... Placed 7th in pole vault (10-6 3/4), tied for 8th in high jump (5-2 1/2) and was 15th in the long jump (15-11) at the main GNAC meet. ... Colfax High School: Won three consecutive Class 1A / 2B / 1B (small school) Washingto state pole vault titles. Went gradually higher each her, winning at 11-0 as a sophomore, 11-6 as a junior, and a personal-best 12-4 as a senior in 2016. That mark also was a new Class 2B state record.  ... Won back-to-back state high jump titles, clearing 5-4 as a junior and 5-2 as a senior. ... Also was 2nd in the 200 at state as a junior and senior, 2nd in the 100 as a senior, 5th in both the 100 and 200 as a sophomore, and was 9th in the 200 and 13th in the 100 as a freshman. ... Placed 2nd in the pole vault as a freshman at 9-0, and 6th in the high jump at 5-0. ... Made state in the shot put as a junior, placing 8th at 33-10 1/4. ... In addition to her five individual track titles, was part of three consecutive state championship volleyball teams (sophomore-junior-senior years), and was on the state championship girls basketball team as a sophomore in 2014. In addition, helped Colfax win the state girls track team title as a sophomore.
