Jason Durocher is in his 13th year as head athletic trainer at Seattle Pacific University. Prior to beginning his tenure at SPU he worked nine years as the head athletic trainer at Hastings College in Hastings, NE and two years as graduate assistant athletic trainer at Whitworth University.
Durocher received his master’s in physical education/sports administration from Whitworth University (1999), and his bachelor’s in physical education/athletic training emphasis from Fresno State (1997).
During Durocher's tenure the Falcons have had remarkable success at the conference, district and even national level. He attributes a large portion of his love for the profession to the athletes he works with on a daily basis who give their very best.
"Being a part of overcoming challenges in order to achieve success is very motivating and personally gratifying".
A unique fact about Jason is that his wife Caroline is also an athletic trainer, currently with the WNBA's Seattle Storm. So, it can be said that athletic training is truly a family trait. When not working Jason enjoys working out, fishing, gardening, spending time with his wife in the outdoor Northwest and eating lots of food.
