Jason Durocher has been the Director of Sports Medicine at Seattle Pacific University since 2008. Prior to beginning his tenure at SPU, he worked nine years as head athletic trainer at Hastings College in Hastings, Neb.
Durocher received his master's in physical education/sports administration from Whitworth College (1999), and his bachelor's in physical education/athletic training emphasis from Fresno State (1997).
Durocher's experiences working at the conference, district, and state levels to promote the athletic training profession have been numerous. His experience with a diverse athletic population through 25-plus years in the profession has added stability to an already-strong athletic support staff.
His wife, Caroline, is also a certified athletic trainer with extensive experience at the collegiate, professional, military, and now clinical setting at Swedish Sports Medicine and Spine. They currently reside in West Seattle. In his spare time, Durocher enjoys summer break to travel regionally, along with fishing, gardening, and exercising his German short-haired pointer, Griffey.
