SEATTLE – Senior Andy Poling scored a team-high 15 points, and sophomore Riley Stockton scored 12 second half points to go with 10 rebounds as the Seattle Pacific Falcons rolled to a 72-53 victory against Azusa Pacific in the final game of the Sodexo Tip-Off Classic on Saturday night in Brougham Pavilion.
 
The Falcons (2-0) were the only men's team to go undefeated in the two-day tournament. Azusa Pacific finished at 1-1.

Junior guard David Downs (Kirkland, Wash. / Bellevue Christian HS) added 11 points and five assists for SPU and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Junior forward Patrick Simon (Ephrata, Wash. / Ephrata HS) added 14 points.
 
Senior teammate Jobi Wall (Arvada, Colo.) joined Downs on the all-tournament team.
 
Will Ward led Azusa Pacific with 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
 
The Falcons led by just five points at halftime, 33-28. They gradually stretched it out to double-digits in the second half before the Cougars climbed back within seven at the 12:35 mark. But Stockton immediately answered with a 3-pointer, pushing the margin back to double digits.
 
Stockton's10 rebounds gave Seattle Pacific a 36-31 advantage on the boards.
 
The Falcons shot a sharp 51.1 percent from the field (24 of 47), including 45 percent from behind the 3-point line (9 of 20). Azusa Pacific was limited to 39 percent shooting from the floor (23 of 59), and just 21.1 percent (4 of 19) from downtown).
 
The Falcons head to Hawaii next weekend for the Pacific West-GNAC Challenge in Laie. SPU faces Hawaii Pacific on Friday and Brigham Young-Hawaii on Saturday.
