Brianna Leenders took over the No. 2 spot on Seattle Pacific's career list for digs, and
Sara Biondi had a double-double on Thursday, but Western Oregon came from behind in all three games to sweep the Falcons in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball match.
Scores in the New P.E. Building were 25-23, 25-12, 25-21. The Falcons (11-14, 5-12 GNAC) dropped their sixth straight.

Senior libero Leenders (Portland, Ore.) had 17 digs on Thursday, giving her 1,561 for her career. That pushed her past Torii Mount, who accumulated 1,552 from 2005-08. Leenders started the night with 1,544, and got the nine she needed to pass Mount by the end of the first game.
"Torii Mount was a fantastic libero here," SPU coach
Chris Johnson said. "That she passed her, that just speaks volumes to what Bri was able to do."
Brianna LeendersLeenders also moved closer to a place in the GNAC's all-time top 10. She will need 18 in Saturday's season-finale at Saint Martin's to pass the 1,578 that Western Oregon's Claire Carpenter had from 2004-07.
Senior setter Biondi (Sacramento, Calif.) had 26 assists and 10 digs. It was her eighth double-double of the season and ninth of her career.
Senior hitter / blocker
Madi Cavell (Keizer, Ore.) led SPU with 12 kills. That gave her 348 for 2014, tying her single-season best that she set last year. She also had five total blocks, with two solos. Freshman opposite
Hannah Lautenbach (Portland, Ore.) came up with 13 digs.
Seattle Pacific had leads of three points or more in all three games on Thursday, but Western Oregon (5-20, 3-14 GNAC) rallied every time.
The Falcons were up 18-14 and 21-20 in the opening game. WOU went up 23-21, then traded the last four points with Seattle Pacific to close it out.
In Game 2, SPU had an 8-5 advantage. Western Oregon was up 16-12 when it started on a run of nine points in a row to finish off that game.
A fast start in Game 3 saw the Falcons move on top, 8-4, and later, 16-13. At 19-19, the Wolves put three straight on the board and never trailed again.
"We had leads in the first and third games, and we were playing pretty well at times," Johnson said. "We just couldn't get enough to win it. The second game, we got stuck in a rotation that we couldn't get out of. They were killing everything."
Thursday was the first time in the four matches that the teams did not go to a deciding fifth game. Both of last year's contests, plus the first one this year in Brougham Pavilion all went the limit, with SPU winning all three of them.
Saturday's match against Saint Martin's will take place at Capital High School in Olympia. The Saints' regular on-campus venue, Marcus Pavilion, is being used for two state high school volleyball tournaments.
