BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Playing the No. 2-ranked team in the country can make it a tough night on the volleyball court.
It was just such a night for Seattle Pacific.
Gabby Oddo had seven kills, but the Falcons totaled just 13 kills as Western Washington scored a three-game sweep of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference match in Carver Gymnasium.
Scores were 25-14, 25-8, 25-7.
Except for an early portion of the first game when the Falcons (5-11, 2-6 GNAC) had a 4-2 lead, the undefeated Vikings (16-0, 8-0 GNAC) were in command. Up 9-7, Western rang up nine straight points to put the opener out of reach.

At 4-3 in the third, WWU tallied 10 straight, then later had another 6-0 run for a 22-5 advantage.
"They're a good team, so it's just taking what you can and picking what you can out of the match to learn from and just respond really well," SPU coach
Abbie Wright said. "I think
Gabby Oddo played her heart out tonight. I commend her mentality, and it's growing from that. I think she did a great job and modeled that for her team."
