ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Seattle Pacific Falcons had their sights set on pulling off another road upset of Alaska Anchorage on Saturday night.

The host Seawolves were having none of it.

Maddie Batiste had eight kills and came up with 10 digs, but UAA, after spotting the Falcons a three-point lead in Game 1, got its attack on track and polished off a sweep in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular-season finale.

Scores in the Alaska Airlines Center were 25-22, 25-18, 25-14.

Seattle Pacific wrapped up at 13-15 overall, 10-10 in the conference.

The Falcons were up 15-12 and 16-13 in the opening game. Still ahead at 17-15, they saw Alaska Anchorage run off four straight points to go up 19-17. The Seawolves, very likely bound for the NCAA Tournament, later put two straight on the board to snap a 20-20 tie.

UAA trailed just twice more the rest of the night – at 1-0 in Games 2 and 3. A 4-0 run gave the Seawolves command of Game 2 at 14-7. Then, up 3-2 in the third, they scored nine of the next 10 points for a 12-3 advantage.

Last November, Seattle Pacific pulled out a five-game victory in Anchorage, its first win against the Seawolves since 2012.

BY THE NUMBERS
-- The Falcons hit .110 for the night (33 kills-20 errors-118 attacks). Alaska Anchorage hit 2.97, with just seven errors (37-7-101).
-- Senior outsider hitter Gabby Oddo had seven kills in the final match of her career. That gave her 369 for the season and 1,369 in four years as a Falcon, the second-highest total in program history. The only one ahead of her was Alyssa Given with 1,454 from 2004-07.
-- Oddo had 428.5 points for the season and a final total of 1,550.0, the third-highest SPU career total. And, she had 1,061 digs as part being just the third triple-thousand player (kills-points-digs) in SPU history.
-- All season, Oddo and junior opposite / outside Maddie Batiste battled for the team lead in kills. So who finished on top? Neither one. Both had 369.
-- Likewise, those two went back and forth in points all year. At the end, Oddo's 428.5 was slightly ahead of Batiste's 416.5.
-- Senior libero Mallie Donohoe had her first 400-dig season, winding up with 410. That gave her 953 for her career.
