PORTLAND, Ore. – Erin Gould was on target in Saturday's volleyball doubleheader against Western Oregon.

Hannah Hair made it very difficult for the Wolves to find the target.

Thanks in part to their combined efforts, the Seattle Pacific Falcons scored three-set sweeps of the Wolves in both matches – and now, Gould and Hair have swept the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards.

Junior outside hitter Gould was honored for her work on offense, and freshman middle blocker Hair for hers on defense.

Gould, who missed a month of action with a shoulder injury, was back in form, slamming 19 kills and hitting .500 in the two matches combined.

In the opener, Gould hit a dazzling .800 with eight kills and no errors on 10 attacks. She had 11 kills and just two errors on 24 attacks in the nightcap for a .375 hitting percentage. In that one, she also delivered two service aces and came up with five digs.

Hair recorded 10 total blocks – five in each match. Her numbers were the same for each: four blocks assists and one solo. She has a conference-leading 78.0 total blocks for the season, and her 1.39 per-set average ranks No. 2 in the GNAC.

Hair was just as effective on offense as she was on defense, with 15 kills in the two matches combined and just one error for the entire day on 24 attacks for a .583 hitting percentage.

This is the second defensive award this season for Hair. Her previous one came on March 1. For Gould, it was her first-ever Player of the Week honor.

The Falcons wrap up their season this weekend with three matches against Western Washington – a single at home on Friday at 5:00 p.m. in Brougham Pavilion, and a doubleheader on Saturday in Bellingham, with match times of 12:30 p.m. for the opener and 5:00 for the nightcap.
