With summer in full swing, SPU student-athletes look back and look ahead

SEATTLE – Throughout the summer, the Seattle Pacific sports information team will pose a series of questions to various Falcon athletes. We will feature one athlete each Wednesday. This week, it's women's cross country / track runner Maya Ewing.
 
What was the most memorable part of this past season for you? 
"My most memorable day was the track meet at Western Washington. Spending the day with friends and a good, fun race.".

"Next year's cross country team will be a fun, strong group of girls, and I'm looking forward to racing with a big group and the team energy."
 
What are you planning to do this summer – Work? Vacation? Hang out with family? All of the above?  
"I'm looking forward to the sunshine, and hanging out with friends and family."
 
What is your favorite summertime way to stay in shape and prepare for next season? 
"My brothers and I like to wake-surf on vacation, and enjoy watersports."
  
Growing up, what was your favorite thing to do or what was your favorite place to go during the summer – and why was that your favorite? 
"In the past, going camping in Eastern Washington, with the cool views and good camping locations on the river."
 
Someday – maybe sooner, maybe later – what is one place you'd really like to visit, and why that particular place?  
"I've never been to Hawaii, but I would love to go. mostly because of the sunshine and ocean!"
