ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Seattle Pacific University women's soccer team shut out Central Washington University on the road on Saturday morning, while
Kayla Wallace supplied the game-winner for the Falcons in the 85th minute to earn the 1-0 victory over the Wildcats.

"Really challenging game today," head coach
Arby Busey said. "We had to fight hard to get that result. Kayla came up huge late for us with a great finish. And we defended well all game to keep the shutout. Proud of the grit we showed today, it will make us even stronger moving forward."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons jumped on the Wildcats early, sending in five shots in the first 10 minutes of the match.
- Wallace had three of the five shots during that span.
- Ashlyn Valdovinos nearly gave the Falcons the lead in the 33rd minute, but her shot was saved.
- Landry Schoennauer was in goal for the Falcons in the second half and made five critical saves.
- In the 85th minute, Wallace finally broke through with what proved to be the game-winner for the Falcons.

- The Falcons launched 18 shots compared to seven from the Wildcats.
- 11 of those 18 shots were on goal for SPU.
- Wallace was relentless, with seven shots throughout the game, five of which were on goal.
