MONMOUTH, Ore. – Rafael Lucio scored his fourth goal of the season for the Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team on the road against Western Oregon on Thursday, which helped the Falcons earn a 1-1 draw with the Wolves.

"That was a really fun game between two top teams," head coach
Kevin Sakuda said. "Overall, the performance was very good. We had our moments, but just couldn't find the second one. The margins in this league are small, and there were a couple of plays we would love to have back, but we learn from it and get our bodies right for Saturday."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons went down a goal in the 16th minute when the Wolves Pedro Monge-Munoz put one in the lower left corner of the net.
- SPU answered in the 24th minute when Lucio ripped a low line drive past the WOU keeper.

- Cristian Chel Lara tried to give the Falcons the lead in the 36th minute, but his shot was saved.
- In the 51st minute, Owen Swartout, Jackson Goode, and Silvestre Vallejo had their flurry of shots blocked by the WOU defense.
- Brian Lanier made a big save in the 57th minute to keep the match tied 1-1.
- The Falcons had four shots on goal that were saved by WOU in the final 30 minutes of the match.
- Lcuio and Brady Fendrich had shots in the final five minutes, but neither went for a goal.
- The Falcons and Wolves settled for a 1-1 tie.
