NAMPA, Idaho – Ashlyn Valdovinos scored a goal in the first half for the Seattle Pacific University women's soccer team against Northwest Nazarene on Thursday afternoon, but an 87th-minute goal from the Nighthawks forced the Falcons to settle for a 1-1 draw on the road.

Arby Busey said. "Had some great moments and really played well for long spells of the game. But credit NNU for staying strong and in the game until they got their goal to tie it. We'll get home and regroup for Central on Saturday."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons were on the attack early against the Nighthawks, sending in four shots in the first 20 minutes of the match.
- In the 28th minute, Valdovinos made the most of a pass from Nora Patterson by slotting a low-line drive into the back of the net to put the Falcons up 1-0.

- Patterson was credited with an assist on the goal.
- The Falcons controlled the match in the early parts of the second half, sending in five shots in the first 20 minutes.
- Maya Parman had a shot that was saved in the 60th minute.
- Taylor Kreuger had a near miss in the 62nd minute when she turned and sent in a shot from the top of the box that was saved.
- The Nighthawks put together a late charge against the Falcons.
- NNU's Savanna Herz launched a shot from distance in the 87th minute that bounced off the crossbar and landed in front of the goal.
- Kaslee Roskelley of the Nighthawks got her head to the ball and put it in the back of the net to tie the game 1-1.
- Parman had one last attempt at the win for the Falcons in the 90th minute, but her shot was saved.
- SPU and NNU settled for a 1-1 draw on Thursday.
