LACEY, Wash. – The Seattle Pacific University women's team needed a late goal from Kayla Wallace to earn a 2-2 draw with Saint Martin's in the Falcons' regular season finale on Saturday morning.

"Saint Martin's is much improved since the last time we played," head coach Arby Busey said. "They fed off the emotion of their Senior Day and got a couple of goals in the first half. We had a hard time creating momentum for ourselves today. We couldn't string enough good moments together to get going. We will regroup and prepare for the opportunity we have next week."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute of the match when a pass from Ashlyn Valdovinos led to Andie Buckley's low liner into the left corner of the net.
- SPU committed a foul resulting in a penalty kick for the Saints in the 14th minute.
- SMU's Rose Ivanis scored the penalty kick to tie the game 1-1.
- The Saints took the lead in the 35th when Ivanis assisted on a goal from Keilee Silva.
- In the 77th minute, Wallace stepped up to take and make a penalty kick that tied the match 2-2.
- Nora Patterson and Maya Parman had back-to-back shots that would have given the Falcons the lead in the 84th minute, but they were saved.
- In the 89th minute, Taylor Krueger had a rocket that hit the crossbar, leaving the match tied 2-2.
- The Falcons left Lacey, Wash., with a 2-2 tie with the Saints.
FROM THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons had 17 shots with eight being on goal, compared to eight shots with five on goal from the Saints.
- The Falcons shut down the Saints in the second half by not allowing a shot in the final 45 minutes of the match.
- Patterson had a game-high four shots, with two being on goal.
- Buckley and Wallace led the Falcons with one goal each.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Buckley's goal was her second of the season and the eighth of her career with the Falcons.
- Wallace scored her 10th goal of the season on Saturday.
- Wallace is now tied with six other Falcons for the 16th most single-season goals scored.
