Isaac Venable lead a group of five Seattle Pacific Falcons named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic men's track and field team that was announced on Wednesday.
Venable
Venable is a junior and carries a 3.63 GPA as a computer science major. Between indoor and outdoor track, he has set five personal-bests this year. Of those, two have come this spring in the 10,000 meters. He started off with a 32:04.76 in the season-opening Ed Boitano Invitational on Feb. 28, then broke the 32 barrier on April 3 at the Mike Fanelli Classic in San Francisco, clocking 31:56.24. Venable's other PBs have been in the outdoor 5000 on March 29 at the UBC Open (15:22.34), the indoor 5000 at the GNAC meet (15:34.48) and the indoor mile at the UW Invitational (4:24.79).
Sheirbon
A senior, Sheirbon is a physiology major with a 3.83 grade-point average. He ran the 3000 meters at the GNAC indoor meet in February, but an injury has kept him on the sidelines during the spring outdoor season.

Erickson
Erickson is a computer science major with a 3.96 GPA. A distance runner, he has set personal-bests this spring in the 800 meters (1:59.33, his first sub two-minute performance) and the 1500 (4:21.06).
Saxon
Hrcek
Hrcek and Saxon are both pole vaulters. Hrcek carries a 3.45 GPA in mechanical engineering. Hrcek placed fourth at GNAC indoors with a clearance of 13 feet, 9¼ inches. He recently had back-to-back weekends in the 14-foot range, gong 14-0 at Whitworth on April 4 and 14-1¼ at Pomona-Pitzer on April 12. Saxon, with a 3.68 in exercise science, was sixth at GNAC indoors at 13-3½. His outdoor season best so far is 13-6¼ at the Boitano on March 1.
To make the All-Academic team, student-athletes must have a 3.2 or higher GPA, be a sophomore or older, and must be in at least the second year of competition at their school. Freshmen, redshirt freshmen, and first-year transfers are not eligible.
